A note from Designs by Janvi:

Most of you are familiar with my weims Sky and Sasha but there was another member of my pack that we lost way too soon.
His name was Shadow and he was Sky’s litter mate. We lost him when he was three years old.
This month Shadow and Sky would be celebrating their seventh birthday together had Shadow still been with us. I see him in Sky’s eyes everyday.
Almost 4 years this year and the hurt doesn’t seem to lessen in anyway.

This set of blank notecards of pictures of my pack, photographed by me were made in his memory. A picture of Shadow has been included in the lot. It is the one of Sky and him running in the yellow grass with clear blue skies above.

Sky and Sasha are doing their part to support rescue by donating 4 sets of these to 4 different rescue groups.
Based on demand I can always add more.

Each set contains 6 different memories of my kids and the cards are blank on the inside for your own personal message.
Printed on high quality card stock. Each measures 4 x 5.5 inch

Our journey to becoming The Grayter Good Inc. really began eight years ago when we adopted Karma, from a wonderful shelter located in Western New York State. It was affirmed as a direction when we adopted Sydney, from a Weimaraner rescue in Kentucky. It became a reality on January 30, 2015 when it was incorporated in New York State as a non-profit corporation. Then in a letter dated October 29, 2015 The Grayter Good was recognized as a 501(c)(3) charity with this status having an effective date of January 30, 2015.

Our mission is fairly simple.  We will raise money to help rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome purebred Weimaraners throughout the continental United States of America.  We will also financially help other organizations and individuals who do the same. In addition, via grants and direct donations, we will help with the medical needs of Weimaraners who have been adopted from, or fostered for, other established Weimaraner rescues.

The goals for 2015 were to finish building out our organizations infrastructure, develop a strong network of foster families and volunteers, raise $75,000 in donations, and to help rescue as many Weimaraners as we can.  We did not accomplish our fund raising goals, but we did rescue 26 Weimaraners. Over the next few months there will be an influx of 6 to 9 month old puppies in the market place.  Most will be there because the families that bought, or adopted, them struggled with the demands of the breed.  We plan to be there.

The goals for 2016 are to continue the work started in 2015 and to establish a Weimaraner rescue center, location TBA, so that we can immediately get involved with every Weim we find in need.

The Grayter Good Inc. believes in and supports responsible Weimaraner breeders. Those who vet their potential owners, offer to accept a dog back without conditions and who breed more for the love of Weimaraners than the money. Without responsible breeders there will be no breed.

As for a Weimaraner owner thinking of surrendering a dog, please know that there are no judgments here. Weim’s are tough. They start out beyond cute. They quickly grow to be a 50 to 70 pound freight train running through your house and over your little children. They eat shoes, surf the counters, hate being left alone, hunt most little things that run and if unchecked will take over control of your house. We get it. We’ve been there. We want to, can, and will help. Please be honest with us when surrendering your dog and we will do our very best to do what’s right for your Weimaraner.

As an all volunteer rescue organization, our capacity and future growth depends on the generosity of individuals and corporations to support funding. View our page of information about dog rescue donations to learn more.

Donate to Support The Grayter Good Inc.

The Grayter Good Inc, formed in New York State, as a non-profit corporation, and is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) public charity.  We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming of pure bred Weimaraners throughout the United States.

In 2015, using personal and donated funds, we rescued 26 Weimaraners ranging in age from 6 months to 11 years old, issued a dozen medical grants for Weimaraners not in our care, and financially helped a dozen similar rescues who had Weims in extreme need.

In 2016 we expect to be called on to rescue an even large number of Weims; 23 already through mid-May. Without any doubt we cannot help these deserving dogs without our your help. IRS regulations limits the amount of money that we can personally contribute while still retaining our public charity status. We are totally committed to this cause and will keep seeking support from corporate sources, but for now generous, good heart, dog loving, people like yourself are our primary means of support. One time and automatic recurring monthly donations options are both available.

Please note that all donations are handled securely through Paypal whose slogan is “The safer, easier way to pay online!”, so your contributions are safe, easy, and secure. Become a donor, sponsor, or contributor. You do not require a Paypal account for checkout because Paypal accepts most major credit cards including Visa, Delta, Electron, MasterCard, Eurocard, Maestro, and American Express. Debit cards with a Visa or Mastercard logo on them may be used as well.

Donate as little as a dollar, or contribute more within your budget by making a donation in any amount.
